Love Potion #9

  • 1 ounce strawberry, vanilla or clear vodka
  • 1/2 ounce white crème de cacao
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • Scoop of vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • Strawberry for garnish
  • Directions:

    Pour the ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a chilled margarita glass. Garnish with a strawberry. If the mix is too thick, add berries or milk. If the mix is too thin, add ice or ice cream.

    Passionate Martini


    • 1 part vodka
    • 1 part vermouth
    • 2 parts green tea
    • 1/2 lemon
    • Several drops of red food coloring
    • 1 tablespoon sugar


    In a small bowl, add sugar and a drop of red food coloring. Mix and let sit to dry for a few minutes. Rim a martini glass with the lemon and then rim the glass with the red sugar. In the glass, pour the alcohol ingredients and then add the ice. Then pour in a drop of the red food coloring. Garnish with chocolate covered hearts, flowers and what ever else strikes the moment.

    Red Velvet Martini
    Ingredients1/2 oz. Van Gough Dutch Chocolate Vodka
    1/2 oz. Stoli Vanilla Vodka
    1/2 oz. Raspberry LiqueurSplash of Godiva Chocolate Liqueur 

    Recipe Pour all ingredients into a martini shaker. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass rimmed with sugar and drizzled with white chocolate and raspberry sauce.

    1 1/2 oz vodka

    1 1/2 oz Lichido Liqueur

    1 oz cranberry juice

    1. Pour the vodka, Lichido and cranberry juice into a cocktail shaker with ice.

    2. Shake well.

    3. Strain into a chilled old-fashioned glass filled with ice.

    Bloody strawberry cocktail

    • 10 oz (30 cl) of strawberry juice
    • 10 oz (30 cl) tomato juicejuice of 1/2 lemon
    • 7 oz (20 cl) of vodka (or more…)
    • Freshly ground pepper

    Preparation instructions

    Chocolate Indulgence Martini


    • chocolate wafer cookies
    • Chocolate syrup, for drizzling inside the glass and the rim
    • Ice
    • ounces store bought chocolate milk
    • ounce vanilla vodka
    • ounce creme de cocoa


    1. 1Place the chocolate cookies in a plastic baggie and pound with a rolling pin or wooden mallet until fine crumbs are formed.
    2. 2Coat the center of a small plate with chocolate syrup in a circle. Sprinkle the crushed chocolate wafers over the chocolate syrup on the plate.
    3. 3Turn a martini glass upside down and dip the rim of the glass in the mixture and spin back and forth, until the rim is coated.
    4. 4Drizzle some chocolate syrup inside the glass, forming a swirling design and place the glass in the freezer.
    5. 5In a shaker with ice add the chocolate milk, vodka and creme de cocoa. Shake well.
    6. 6Remove glass from freezer.
    7. 7Strain mixture into glass and serve.

    Sgroppino (Italian cocktail)


    • 1 cup chilled Prosecco (Italian sparkling white wine)
    • 2 tablespoons chilled vodka
    • 1/3 cup frozen lemon sorbet
    • 1/4 teaspoon chopped fresh mint leaves
    Passion Punch Cocktail


    • 2ounces peeled fresh ginger, thinly sliced (about 1/2 cup)
    • 1/2cup sugar
    • 1/2cup water
    • 3/4cup well-chilled passion fruit juice
    • 2tablespoons lemon juice (4 strips of zest removed with a sharp vegetable peeler before juicing and reserved for garnish)
    • 2teaspoon grenadine
    • 1(750 ml) bottle well-chilled Cava or Prosecco


    • Combine ginger with sugar and water in a small heavy saucepan and cook over medium-low heat until sugar is dissolved. Simmer, covered, 30 minutes then strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a measuring cup and cool (discard ginger).
    • Stir together 1/4 cup of the ginger syrup with passion fruit and lemon juices and grenadine. Divide between 2 champagne flutes and slowly top with sparkling wine. Drop a twist of lemon zest into each glass.
    • Note: *For a nonalcoholic version, substitute sparkling lemonade for the sparkling wine.
    • Make ahead: Ginger syrup can be made up to 1 week ahead and kept covered and chilled.
    Honey Bea Cocktail


    • 6 7lemongrass dials
    • 1.5oz Bombay Sapphire gin
    • 1oz honeydew puree
    • .5oz lemon juice
    • .5oz honey simple syrup


    • To make the honey simple syrup, mix 2 parts honey to one part water. Bring this mixture to 220 degrees.
    • Muddle lemongrass, add all remaining ingredients.
    • Shake and serve in a martini glass.

    Gin Sling


    • 4 5ice cubes
    • 1/2lemon, juiced
    • 1measure cherry brandy
    • 3measures gin
    • soda water
    • cherries, to decorate


    • Put the ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Pour the lemon juice, cherry brandy and gin over the ice and shake until a frost forms. Pour, without straining, into a hurricane glass and top up with soda water. Decorate with cherries, if liked, and serve with 1–2 straws.
    Between The Sheets Cocktail


    • 4 5ice cubes
    • 1 1/4measures brandy
    • 1measure white rum
    • 1/2measure Cointreau
    • 3/4measure fresh lemon juice
    • 1/2measure sugar syrup


    • Put the ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Add the brandy, white rum, Cointreau, lemon juice and sugar syrup and shake until a frost forms. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
    Campari, Grapefruit And Pomegranate Cocktail


    • 1 1/2cups grapefruit or orange juice
    • 1 1/2cups pomegranate juice
    • 1 1/2cups ice cubes, plus more for serving
    • 3/4cup Campari
    • 6twists of orange zest or 6 thin slices of seedless orange


    • 1. Combine grapefruit (or orange) juice, pomegranate juice and ice cubes in a blender. Blend until the ice is very finely chopped and the mixture is foamy and pale pink. Transfer to a pitcher and stir in Campari. Serve over ice, garnished with a twist or slice of orange.

    Amore Vietato (Forbidden Love)

    - 2 oz. Hendricks gin - 1 oz. blood orange juice - Dash simple syrup, 2 strawberries - 4 slices of cucumber Muddle fruit with simple syrup, add gin and blood orange juice. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with strawberry, cucumber spiral and orange peel hearts.

    The Chocolate-Lovers Margarita

    - 3 parts chocolate milk (store bought or homemade) - 1 part Sauza Silver Tequila - 1 part strawberry puree or daiquiri mix - Chocolate covered strawberry Combine chilled chocolate milk, Sauza and strawberry puree in a tall glass. Stir vigorously to combine. Pour into a glass and garnish with a chocolate covered strawberry.

    Poire Royale

    - 1 ½ oz. Hangar One Spiced pear vodka - ¼ oz. Mazzenez, Poire Williams, Eau-de-vie - ¼ oz. St. Germain elderflower liqueur - ½ oz. simple syrup - 2 oz. Looza pear nectar Combine all ingredients over ice in a shaker. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Cut a thin piece from top to bottom in the center of a bosc pear for garnish.

    Kerasi (cherry in Greek)

    - 2 oz. peach vodka - 1 oz. cherry puree (just blend fresh pitted cherries) - 1/2 oz. peach liqueur - 1/2 oz. cherry brandy - 1/2 oz. lemon juice - Sparkling wine, like Cava Shake all ingredients but the Cava over ice and strain into a flute. Top off with Cava. Garnish with a cherry.

    The French Cosmo

    3 oz. pineapple juice 1 1/2 oz. vodka 1/2 oz. cassis Garnish: pineapple slice or leaf Shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled stemmed glass. Garnish with pineapple slice or float a leaf from the fruit in the drink.
