Several home remedies have been found useful in the prevention and treatment of the loss of the hair. The most effective among these remedies is a vigorous rubbing of the scalp with fingers after washing the hair with cold water. The scalp should be rubbed vigorously till it starts to tingle with the heat. It will activate the sebaceous glands and energise the circulation of blood in the affected area, making the hair grow healthy.  
Hair fall is very common these days. It may be because of stress, heredity, prolonged illness or due to some deficiency. There are several home remedies for hair fall control, check out these 5 homemade tips that controls hair fall and also prevents hair loss.

1. Coconut Milk: Coconut milk is among the richest sources of tissue-nourishing, plant derivatives. Grind the grated coconut and squeeze it to remove its juice. Massaging coconut milk (juice) on the scalp can also help in the management of hair fall.

2. Aloe vera: Aloe vera juice is very effective to stop hair loss. Pure aloe gel can be applied directly to the scalp. This is helpful for preventing hair loss due to irritated, dry or infected scalp. Aloe vera balances the pH level of scalp. After massaging the head with aloe gel, wait for few hours and then wash the hair with lukewarm water. You should do this twice a week for best results.

3. Oil Massage: Regular massaging the scalp for a few minutes every day with lukewarm oil will lead to stimulation of blood flow to the scalp. Coconut oil helps in controlling hail fall. Other recommended oils are: Jojoba oil, almond oil, mustard oil, lavender oil. Jojoba oil is especially good because it replaces the sebum in the scalp. It also helps to control dandruff.

4. No Junk Please: Unhealthy lifestyle, eating junk and all these unhealthy habits leads to hair loss due to high level of toxins in the body. So, start drinking lots and lots of water.

5. Amla: Boil dried amla in coconut oil till the oil turns black in color. Massage your scalp with this oil. This is an effective and very easy home remedy to check hair loss.
Some Natural Prevention Tips to hair loss:
  • Consume a balanced diet enriched with fresh fruits and vegetables, avoid eating too much of fast foods and alcoholic drinks.
  • Deal intelligently with stresses and tensions in your life. Relax. Practise several stress management techniques.
  • Do exercise regularly and drink a lot of water everyday.
  • Before taking any new medicine read about the side effects associated with it. If hair loss is listed request your physician for an alternative which may reduce your chances to hair loss.
  • Avoid using harmful chemicals to color your hair. Avoid hair styles which involve pulling and tugging of hair follicles. Try for relaxed hair styles.
  • Remember to wash your hair everyday. Keep your hair clean and dry.
  • Never comb your hair when it is wet as hair roots are weakest when they are wet.
  • Drink coconut water regularly to prevent hair fall.

Homemade Pastes

You can wash the hair with a paste made from Neem leaves. This is particularly effective for hair loss caused due excessive build up of scalp oil or invasive skin infections. For restoring the alkaline balance of the scalp and preventing hair fall, you can follow this with washing the hair with apple cider vinegar. Other homemade pastes that can be very useful include a mixture prepared from adding honey and olive oil to some cinnamon (dalchini) powder.

Slightly Demanding But Very Effective Natural Therapies

You can make your own hair fall-preventing medicine at home by frying some fenugreek (methi) seeds in coconut oil. Strain this mixture and apply it in minimal amounts, rubbed gently into the hair roots. Alternatively, you can boil some henna leaves in mustard oil. After cooling and straining this preparation, add drops of it in your coconut oil container that you are using for regular massaging.

Arrest Hair Fall With Elementary Household Items

Before washing your hair, apply the juice extracted from crushed coriander (dhania) leaves. You can also use a mixture of curd and gram flour (chana atta) that should be kept-on for at least an hour before bathing.

Take half a cup of yogurt and mix 1/4 tsp of black pepper powder. Apply this mixture on hair and leave it until it dries. Wash your hair with clean water. This will prevent hair fall. 

Take out juice of fresh corriander and rub this juice on the scalp. This helps hair grow healthy and helps to control hair fall even incases of excessive hairloss. Aloe vera gel can be mixed with wheat germ and coconut milk this mixture acts as shampoo. 

The aerial roots of banyan tree are used as Ayurveda remedy to control hair fall. Make a paste with the root and mix it with lemon juice. Apply it on the scalp and hair both. Follow with coconut oil massage, you will notice improvement after  4-5 applications.
