If you want young skin and less toxins in your body, you have to eat right. No laxative tea or L'Oreal cream will fix you. You need to eat dense multi-vitamins that nourish your liver.

One of the best ingredients for liver health is broccoli. And we're going raw with it in this smoothie. The cancer fighting cruciferous contain phytochemicals that directly help with the elimination of contaminants

The Detox Smoothie Recipe

  • Takes 4 minutes
  • Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

  • Kale - 1 cup
  • Broccoli - 1/2 cup
  • Lemon - half, peeled
  • Frozen banana - 1
  • Coconut protein powder - 1/2 scoop
  • Ice - 1/2 cup
  • Coconut Water - 1 cup

Method

  1. Blend all the ingredients together until creamy
  2. Enjoy, ideally within the first 30 minutes of waking up

If you need another use for broccoli, sauté it. Lightly steam chopped broccoli and put it in a hot pan with olive oil, sea salt, pepper and fresh garlic. Only needs two minutes in the pan and it will be unbelievably tasty. So good. Use as a side dish to almost any meal, or make it as an inbetweener when you're grazing the cupboard at 4pm, looking for a bad decision.

Straight from the states we got peanut butter vs jelly (or jam). In a smoothie. You know it's going to be delicious, so let me defend the nutrition.

Firstly, we're cramming it full of kale. And you won't taste it. Two cups of the most vitamin dense green leaf. That's strong bones, healthy skin, healthy hair, immune support, energy, a protected brain and less inflammation. It might even do your taxes for you, it's that versatile.

We use mixed frozen berries for our jelly flavour. So rich in antioxidants they protect you against nasty diseases like Alzheimers, diabetes and even the C word
