How to disable the automatic Keeppy menu

Step 1. Left Click on the Keeppy icon in the top right corner of the browser (Chrome and Firefox) or top left corner (Safari).


Step 2. Uncheck "One click mode".




How to edit a keeppy from the wall

Place mouse over a keeppy block.  A button panel will appear.  Click on the edit button.Click on the Edit button.


How to open a keeppy in the Editor

Click on the down arrow in the Keeppy selection menu, scroll down to the desired keeppy and click on it


You can click on the keeppy name next to the down arrow.  A entry field will be open.  You can start typing a few characters, you will see a subset of the keeppy list having the specified characters in the names.  This help to narrow down a large list of keeppies.

How to make a copy of a snippet in the same keeppy

Step 1.  Make sure you have more than one keeppy.  If you do not, then create another keeppy

Step 2. Copy the snippet to another keeppy
Step 3. Go to the keeppy you just copied the snippet to and move the copy back to the original keeppy.

How to move a snippet to another Keeppy

Select a snippet by a single click on the snippet body or snippet name in the left column then click on the "Move to keeppy"  link in the Snippet section of the right column.



A list of Keeppies will be displayed.  Click on the destination keeppy name.


The snippet will be moved to the destination keeppy.

How to copy a snippet to another Keeppy


Select a snippet by a single click on the snippet body or snippet name in the left column then click on the "Copy to keeppy" link in the Snippet section of the right column.


A list of Keeppies will be displayed.  Click on the destination keeppy name.


The snippet will be copied to the destination keeppy.

How to highlight text in a snippet

Step 1.  Double click the snippet to switch to the edit mode.
Step 2. Select a portion of the text of the entire snippet
Step 3. Click on the Text Background Color tool and select the desired color

How to create a new keeppy

If you are in the editor, click on the "New Keeppy" link in the right column. 


If you on the wall, click on the "New keeppy" link in the header.


A dialog box will be open.  Enter keeppy name, categories(optional) and description(optional). 


 Click on Create and a new keeppy will be created.

How to allow editing by multiple users in real-time 

If you have a keeppy and would like someone else gets editing access to your keeppy, use the following steps:

Step 1. Click on the Share menu in the header and select Share keeppy



Step 2. Enter the recipient name or email address and press Invite to share





That's it on your side.  The recipient needs to accept your keeppy.  Click here to see how to accept a shared keeppy



How to accept a shared keeppy 

If someone wants you to have editing access to a keeppy, you see a +1 notification:

 


You must accept the shared keeppy first in order to get access.  Do the following steps:

Step 1. Click on the Share menu and select Share Keeppy



Step 2. Click on People share with me tab





Step 3.  Find the keeppy in the list and click Accept. 




Now the shared keeppy is in your list of all keeppies.  You have edit access to the keeppy just as your regular keeppy. Click here to see how to open the keeppy from editor and how to open the keeppy from the wall.  



How to stop sharing a keeppy

If you shared a keeppy with someone, but no longer want that user have access to your keeppy, do the following steps: 


Step 1. Click on the Share menu and select Share keeppy



Step 2. Click on I Share with people tab






Step 3.  Find the keeppy in the list and click on Kick Out


The keeppy is no longer shared.  



How to get rid of a shared keeppy

If someone shared a keeppy with you and you got it accepted but no longer want to have access to the keeppy, do the following steps: 


Step 1. Click on the Share menu and select Share keeppy



Step 2. Click on People Share with me tab



Step 3. Find the keeppy in the list and press Unshare.



The keeppy is no longer shared with you.
