Qutes from the Reviews - What People Say about:

Sound:

"if you plug them into an ac source while on, they emit a terrible sound via the mic, and if you plug them into the computer while on, they don't charge fast enough not to die."
"i've had this head set for about a month now after my turtle beaches (only brand i've owned since i started using gaming headphones) broke on me and the difference in sound quality is amazing!"

"After I got it set up and working I was extremely disappointing with the sound and microphone quality I heard lots of static from interference and the headset cuts out constantly."

"Sound was good, decent external damping."
"they sound great, are perfectly comfortable, and work anywhere in a 30 foot radius."
"Love this headset, great sound great mic."
"love it sound is great"

Quality:

"i've had this head set for about a month now after my turtle beaches (only brand i've owned since i started using gaming headphones) broke on me and the difference in sound quality is amazing!"
"After I got it set up and working I was extremely disappointing with the sound and microphone quality I heard lots of static from interference and the headset cuts out constantly."
"The Creative Rage Wireless was my longtime daily headset and I grew to hate them for their mic quality and terrible comfort problems (which, weren't so bad when I first got them... weird...)."
"I'm told that in the case of the poor quality microphone (older model Corsair Vengeance H2100), and the poor sound quality (Turtle Beach) that I had just unfortunately ended up with a lemon, but both of those were local purchases and they had no replacement in stock so I opted for a refund and to look elsewhere."
"I find them heavy, and I think the sound quality, especially for music, isn't all that great - while the Bass output is better than my 10 year old Sony closed ear headphones, these are far less clear and bright - they sound a bit muddy to me.Also, the drivers on the website are not good, at least not for me."
"It came in the mail and the quality was perfect."
"This mic quality is great and the software has nice EQ for your own tweaking."
"Great headset really comfortable and has a good sound quality for a wireless headset but the mic is really bad I don't know if it is only me but the mic keeps buzzing and I can't use it"
"(and yes I've turned off boot from usb in my bios along with a lot of other trouble shooting)The sound quality is fine and the range is great, but I just can't get past the discomfort and weirdness."
"Good quality product."

Headphone:

"i've had this head set for about a month now after my turtle beaches (only brand i've owned since i started using gaming headphones) broke on me and the difference in sound quality is amazing!"
"The comfort is meh not great like some headphones might even be slightly uncomfortable compared to Skullcandy hesh 2.0 but is OK overall."
"Starting with the battery life has always been a problem i would say these headphones are great for that they last pretty much all day if you game all day i usually dont get the beap until around late evening if i play starting in the morning."
"Only thing I missed was that using the headphones in wired mode as well when charging."
"The PDP Prismatic I tested suffered from multiple problems, being painfully tight on my head and having an excessively large USB connector that also needed to be plugged into a speaker out jack (this actually provided a nice feature, being able to adjust between game and voice comm volume on the headset itself, however it was awkward). In the case of this set of headphones, I immediately found it had none of the problems the previous four had exhibited."
"Very good Headphones."

Mic:

"my only complaint is that the mic doesn't work that well."
"i was a bit disappointed but just plugged in my old headset and set the mic from it as default and the 1500's as default audio, quick and easy solution until i get an actual microphone.9/10 bananas, if you are in the market for an inexpensive good quality headset these are for you!"
"The mic quality as I said before is very bad, it would not be too big a deal since it would mostly be used for VOIP but the mic was also plagued with a horrible crackling sound that would just annoy everybody I talked to."
"mic hiss noise is frustrating like the gain is super high and cant be adjusted out as far as I have found, I bought for my son so I don't personally have to deal with it but it sounds good and fits nice."

Gaming:

"i've had this head set for about a month now after my turtle beaches (only brand i've owned since i started using gaming headphones) broke on me and the difference in sound quality is amazing!"
"In the case of the Sound Blaster Omega set I tried (again locally) their wireless connector that plugged into the PC was large and not portable friendly, and since I go back and forth between a desktop and a gaming laptop, portability was a concern."
"I played around with it, and found out it was the bass end of the spectrum that was not coming out as well as I expected. But, that said, it is a rather nice headset for gaming, and other around-the-house uses."
"Microphone makes me sound like a robot, compared to a $100 Logitech Gaming series headset this isn't that great."
"The result is that the weight and pressure all sits at one point and after a long gaming session it begins to feel fairly uncomfortable (I should point out that a long gaming session for me is about 2 hours).A third minor issue is that he earphone cups rotate up (towards your ears) rather than down (on your shoulders) when you drop the headset from your head down to your shoulders."
"Perfect for gaming , little static , dull and low non-irritating."
"This headset is wonderful, you feel the sound like an IMAX cinema.I really recommended this headset for gaming and entertainment in general"
"Perfect for gaming or movies."
"Best gaming headset I have purchased so far."
"Mic is just ok its not terrible for gaming but I would not use it to record for videos."

Comfortable:

"The headset is very comfortable but it has many problems, when I first bought the headset I had some trouble setting it up as it would not connect to the included USB dongle."
"VERY comfortable, but the mic is not nearly as good as other much cheaper headsets from Logitec etc."
"If you'd like watching movies or enjoy gaming with surround sound this headset achieves that whether it be in 5.1 or 7.1.I enjoyed this headset so much that I bought a second pair when I saw it on sale just to have in case these ones would fail. They're really comfortable to wear and made very well."
"Pros:WirelessComfortable for hours after about a week break inMic is nice and clear7.1Decent range 15-20 ft stays clear anything much past 20 is spotty at bestMicrofiber Cups are nice....but on the downside sometimes my ears get pretty warmBattery life is pretty spot on 10-12 hours or soSet feels Very solid for being plasticCons:The software that this headset uses is ....bad in dolbythx 7.1 in corsairs interface panel gives a very Tinny sound to the set (ended up just setting 7.1 through Windows instead of the software) This is where the one star dock comes inNeeded to break in set for about 4-7 days as it was pincering my head but after they broke in a bit very comfortable."
"So I have been trying to find a headset that not only sounded great, but was comfortable for long gaming sessions."
"they sound great, are perfectly comfortable, and work anywhere in a 30 foot radius."
"Great headset really comfortable and has a good sound quality for a wireless headset but the mic is really bad I don't know if it is only me but the mic keeps buzzing and I can't use it"
"This is such a comfortable set as well..."
"Extremely comfortable cotton ear pieces which are easy to remove and reinstall for cleaning."
"I bought this for my little brother for his gaming, but I stole it to record a video once and found it quite comfortable and easy to use."

Wireless:

"Be warned this headset has horrible support from corsair and the wireless barely even works."
"The Creative Rage Wireless was my longtime daily headset and I grew to hate them for their mic quality and terrible comfort problems (which, weren't so bad when I first got them... weird...)."
"They're not perfect, but they are my most recommended wireless headset at this time."
"I don't know what technology Corsair uses for their wireless connectivity but it doesn't seem as good as other wireless headsets I've tried."
"I had a turtle beach 7.1 and it sounds way more clear.. You hear foot steps ect more prominently when someone is trying to come up from behind, this headset defiantly is NOT 7.1Sometimes the power button doesn't sync the head set when using ventrillo, you have to turn it off then on then off then on and then you can hear people.CONCLUSION: I would not recommend people buy this headset - the XBox wireless headset (Works on PC) or Logitech wireless headsets for the same price are a better option."
"Great headset really comfortable and has a good sound quality for a wireless headset but the mic is really bad I don't know if it is only me but the mic keeps buzzing and I can't use it"
"Great wireless headset."
"But, the cable after a time it's a problem, It bends a lot... Buy the wireless version if you don't want problems."
"For wireless and a headset, they're very good."
"While this is not my dream wireless headset, it does as good a job it could at it's price point."

Battery:

"they have some very mild static at low volume, but nothing to complain about.they are advertised as being able to be used while plugged in when the battery gets low."
"Starting with the battery life has always been a problem i would say these headphones are great for that they last pretty much all day if you game all day i usually dont get the beap until around late evening if i play starting in the morning."

"This headphones are the best I had purchased in a long time.Only one problem: Battery."
"Battery life is not too impressive, about 6 hours before it starts beeping."
"they have some very mild static at low volume, but nothing to complain about.they are advertised as being able to be used while plugged in when the battery gets low."
"The Skullcandy PLYR2's provide much better audio than both of these, better range, compatibility with 3.5mm and Xbox 360 (I wasn't really concerned with either), better battery life, and more comfort."
"First, the battery is good."
"These things are durable, comfortable, and have a good battery life."
"You can't even see how much battery life is left!Look elsewhere, I recommend the Logitech G930's."

Music:

"I find them heavy, and I think the sound quality, especially for music, isn't all that great - while the Bass output is better than my 10 year old Sony closed ear headphones, these are far less clear and bright - they sound a bit muddy to me.Also, the drivers on the website are not good, at least not for me."
"For listening to music I thoroughly enjoy it but for gaming and being in Teamspeak 3 I dislike it."
"Going above that may be damaging for your ears and painful.listening very loud music at 100db sound level cause a permanent damage to hearing capabilities just after 15 minutes.Search the internet and save your ears."
"As others have mentioned, the only downside to the drivers is that you can't access them while piping through music during your game."
"(Corded ones never seemed like an inconvenience to me anyway). Finally, the sound quality is great for communicating via vent; however, as far as in-game music, it's not so fantastic.I guess I am just "spoiled" by SteelSeries (which is less expensive than these)."
"When I'm home, I like the freedom of being able to take my music all over the house or chat with people without being stuck at the computer."
"I guess I would best describe it as, there's not as much punch to the music."
"It's easier for me to tell when a headset sounds good for music rather than games."
"They're nothing spectacular, and for music, they could be much better."
"Uh, well, I guess it sounds better for games than for music."

Price:

"I consider myself a Corsair homer and I was very excited to get these for such a great price; unfortunately without the drivers they no longer output 7.1 and that defeated the whole reason for the purchase."
"I would not recommend this headset go for something else in the same price range."
"Though it may have 7.1 sound, I'm skeptical of it having true surround sound, which I'm not sure is even possible in two speakers, even if the processing is all done virtually. So even with the couple of issues I have, this is probably one of the best, if not the best headset I've used for the price."
"ok first off this headset is amazingpros: clean highs and mids even at high vol.50mm speakers7.1 virtual surround sound that sounds greatget really loud i keep mine at 2 to 6 level went to max hurt my ears drums but sounded really cleanyou can wear this headset for 6+ hourscons:bass is a lil lacking for 50mm divers not say it isnt there i just like a lil morebut i fixed that problem with a equalizer thats why i didnt take a star off7.1 virtual surround sound wished it was true surround but i knew it before i got themso i didnt take a star offother thoughts:for the price you cant go wrong the corsair vengeance 1500 sound amazing."
"Easily the worst headset I've ever used for the price."
"I got them used from Amazon for a very good price."
"I consider myself a Corsair homer and I was very excited to get these for such a great price; unfortunately without the drivers they no longer output 7.1 and that defeated the whole reason for the purchase."
"Im very happy with the price and quality and Im pitching these to my gamer friends when their current ones break down."
"At this price point, this is a very good wireless headset."
"While this is not my dream wireless headset, it does as good a job it could at it's price point."

Surround:

"The built-in EQ is mediocre and the only toggle between Stereo and Surround is located in the Corsair software, so you might end up alt tabbing out of your game/task to switch it on and off should it not work properly.Audio quality is decent; because the surround is controlled via software, it's not fantastic but gives you a good sense of direction with the moderate amount of games and applications that support it."
"Surround sound is terrible compared to my TurtleBeach headsets."
"Better quality then other Gamer Set I tested (Logitech G930), but not that perfect quality as other good Headset like theRazer Tiamat 7.1 or other high quality headset.the Surround on the V2100 is not at it's best compared to others , but it is pretty OK.overall it is good headset."
"Can't believe I got it for $100 less.Anyways, this is a great headset, strong bass in virtual surround mode and pretty weak without the virtual surround."
"Ok...so I couldn't install the software therefore I couldn't thoroughly review the surround sound functionality of this headset which means I'm just going to review it as a stereo headset. As a headset it's got nice build quality even though it's all plastic."
"Sound quality is why i bought these over the logitech one's the sound is great has pretty strong bass and great sound quality great surround sound as well i say i enjoy the sound i get."
"I looked at almost every headset before finding these!PROS:ComfortablePrecise Directional SoundLong USB CordStylishMic quality is better than desktop mics.1/3 price of the astro a40.Might as well be real surround sound (wouldn't guess that this was virtual surround sound)Cons:Glitchy Software(Easy to fix by closing out process from task manager)Felt slight pressure after 3 hours(will probably subside once they are worn in)SIDE NOTES:Got feedback and EMI from plugging directly into mobo."
"The head brace is built well, the ear muffs are comfortable, but I haven't experienced surround sound from it."
"Decent 7.1 surround quality in Dota 2, CS:GO, Battlefield 3, Bioshock Infinite and many others."
"But after I use this, I learnt that this Dolby Surround thing rally works...In's: Mic is great for in game communication and when you pull it up, it mutes itself."

Microphone:

"I have owned this headset for ~6months now and the microphone has started failing."
"After I got it set up and working I was extremely disappointing with the sound and microphone quality I heard lots of static from interference and the headset cuts out constantly."
"After 4 months of use the ear cuffs become uncomfortable, also the microphone doesn't position well in front of the mouth to capture clear audio."
"Microphone is horrible on this headset though."
"These things can get LOUD if you want them to, with some distortion at maximum level. But the microphone is where this headset fails with me."
"i was a bit disappointed but just plugged in my old headset and set the mic from it as default and the 1500's as default audio, quick and easy solution until i get an actual microphone.9/10 bananas, if you are in the market for an inexpensive good quality headset these are for you!"
"Microphone is OK nothing really good just a microphone honestly."
"I am currently using this headset and it has both good audio and has a good microphone."
"Microphone is clear and reliable."
"These headphones block out ambient noise for her and the microphone works well for dictating her papers."

Range:

"(and yes I've turned off boot from usb in my bios along with a lot of other trouble shooting)The sound quality is fine and the range is great, but I just can't get past the discomfort and weirdness."
"I would not recommend this headset go for something else in the same price range."
"I tried it before returning and I really loved the sound quality and features, but using a used headset grossed me out so I bought this one on sale.Pros:Very comfortable earcups and top paddingSolid constructionGood mic qualityBattery and range are greatCons:Sound quality is just not great."
"very terrible item do not purchase battery does not last will randomly cut off all sound in some games , it is comfy but does nothing of what you want it to also the range is horrible its about 10-15 feet then sound completely turns off mine were brand new also not used not worth it at all."
"Their range is not as good as the G930."
"(and yes I've turned off boot from usb in my bios along with a lot of other trouble shooting)The sound quality is fine and the range is great, but I just can't get past the discomfort and weirdness."
"The range on these are pretty good .."
"Though, like most charging cables, they rarely simulate a good headphone/headset wire, and feel like they rub on my shoulder more than I'd prefer. The range of this headset is good."
"I unfortunately threw out all the packaging materials before I realized how bad they are or I would definitely return them.On the plus side, they seem pretty sturdy and the range is fantastic."
"Works great and range is pretty good."

Volume:

"they have some very mild static at low volume, but nothing to complain about.they are advertised as being able to be used while plugged in when the battery gets low."
"Why I hate it ?1- The volume is way too loud even at %1.2- I can hear a static noise all the time when I plug it in.3- Took me 2 days to fix the beeping noise which only plays when I use the mic or start playing.Overall, I'm not happy with the purchase and I don't recommend it at all."
"I had two problems, 1: Mic volume was way low."
"The new drivers are garbage (mic hum, ridiculously high volume where even "2" will blow your ear drums) and Corsair support is pretty worthless."
"Sounds good, once you fiddle with your volume settings excessively..."
"they have some very mild static at low volume, but nothing to complain about.they are advertised as being able to be used while plugged in when the battery gets low."
"Like, the volume will be at 1/50 and any greater would hurt my ears."
"Volume is excellent."
"Also, the "ratcheted" mic and volume knob are nice, and give reassurance as to how long they will last.Driver and software are light and straightforward in design."

Audio:

"( Pro tip : Audio on other end is horrible usually if plugged in."
"After 4 months of use the ear cuffs become uncomfortable, also the microphone doesn't position well in front of the mouth to capture clear audio."
"I have never owned a Corsair product before, so this is a first. But right out of the box I was having problems with audio crackling(rendering the product basically useless) when plugged into a USB 2.0 port."
"Originally the USB was a bonus because my audio jack broke, but now with a working audio jack, the USB connection just takes up valuable USB slots"
"Big QC error on Corsair's part.-Your audio and mic will most likely sound awful unless you set them to 48000khz in the audio properties.-Background noise - any time something is on the page that can emit sound, you will get background noise, regardless of if the sound source is playing or not."
"i was a bit disappointed but just plugged in my old headset and set the mic from it as default and the 1500's as default audio, quick and easy solution until i get an actual microphone.9/10 bananas, if you are in the market for an inexpensive good quality headset these are for you!"
"I am currently using this headset and it has both good audio and has a good microphone."
"Corsair claims on their website to be aiming for the best sounding "gaming" headset audio."
"Comfortable for hours of gaming, audio is rich, and the mic is clear."
"I didn't have any problems with hissing audio or range problems."

Noise:

"mic hiss noise is frustrating like the gain is super high and cant be adjusted out as far as I have found, I bought for my son so I don't personally have to deal with it but it sounds good and fits nice."
"The noise cancelling isn't as good as the Logitech G35/930."
"After going to their forums, I discovered I'm not the only person with this problem, and Corsair does not seem to care, and didn't respond to a single complaint or query regarding noise cancellation or microphone sound issues on said forums."
"The Mic isn't that good on quality, Constantly making static noise and make me sound like a robot.I would have prefered getting Logitech Gaming Headset G330 (Black) if they weren't so damn expensive."
"The mic picks up all ambient noise, making for an uncomfortable conversation with your audience."
"mic very sensitive, with a good noise cancellation."
"I have a wonderful time telling him stories that he doesn't have to listen to, because the noise cancelling works fantastically."
"mic hiss noise is frustrating like the gain is super high and cant be adjusted out as far as I have found, I bought for my son so I don't personally have to deal with it but it sounds good and fits nice."
"Although I've experienced better noise cancellation, it's great if there's not an enormous amount of sharp noise in the room."
"The mic itself was standard and did keep a pretty good amount of background noise out of the calls."

Fit:

"They're very lightweight, but just didn't fit me well at all."
"So Ive had them for about 2 months. The mic sound great & I do get told thatThe sound is great while gaming & for music not bad I have changed the eq for more bass & now everything sounds betterThe battery gets around 7 to 8 hours & the charge cable is pretty longIm not sure on the sound leak but its a nice fit around my ears & noone has complained about it but could also be the fact that my computer is extremely loud."
"My only complaint would be that the headset doesn't seem to fit perfectly... no matter how much I adjust them, there's a bit of an open space at the very bottom."
"Comfortably fits my very large head."
"mic hiss noise is frustrating like the gain is super high and cant be adjusted out as far as I have found, I bought for my son so I don't personally have to deal with it but it sounds good and fits nice."
"It's at least comfortable enough where the barely proper fit doesn't bother me -too- much."
"Each of those had their own set of problems. But, when the Corsair Vengeance 2100 arrived, I was pleased to find that it was a comfortable fit, that people could hear me clearly via the mic, that the sound quality was crisp, clear and immersive, and that there was nothing unexpected in the connectivity hardware."
"It fits nicely, sounds great to me, sounds great to my guildmates, has a normal sized USB receiver, battery life lasts for marathon gaming sessions, and can be plugged in to charge while in use."

Usb:

"The PDP Prismatic I tested suffered from multiple problems, being painfully tight on my head and having an excessively large USB connector that also needed to be plugged into a speaker out jack (this actually provided a nice feature, being able to adjust between game and voice comm volume on the headset itself, however it was awkward). In the case of this set of headphones, I immediately found it had none of the problems the previous four had exhibited."
"the only downside I could find was that they have a USB in stead of the regular headphone jack and are therefore unusable with mobile devices."
"Originally the USB was a bonus because my audio jack broke, but now with a working audio jack, the USB connection just takes up valuable USB slots"
"I've read that this is due to the the USB receiver and that doing an RMA sometimes solves the problems but users report having to RMA it 2 or 3 times before they get a good receiver."
"Doesn't have annoying blinking blue light when it's onPersonally, the only thing I consider as a significant disadvantage is just the wireless range (and a nice to have feature: that USB hub for the receiver)."
"It fits nicely, sounds great to me, sounds great to my guildmates, has a normal sized USB receiver, battery life lasts for marathon gaming sessions, and can be plugged in to charge while in use."
"It's comfortable and my first USB headset which is great since I use an external speaker which usually takes up the headphone jack."
"But no sound was being transmitted. To fix this, I unplugged the USB dongle for a GOOD 5 minutes, then plugged it back in."
"I also love it that you can plug in the headset to usb to charge while still taking calls if need be (I only did this once when I forgot to charge it overnight)."
"Doesn't have annoying blinking blue light when it's onPersonally, the only thing I consider as a significant disadvantage is just the wireless range (and a nice to have feature: that USB hub for the receiver)."

Loud:

"The sound itself, while I am not an audiophile, was great and got pretty dang loud, but the 7.1 was gimmicky like all the rest."
"Great headset only problem is that they are really loud"
"You'll have to break into these.Pros:Good soundPriceCons:You'll need to break into themMic sucks and adjustment is terrible, it's one of those click click click as you go up and down. You sound extremely loud and not too clear on the mic.Doesn't have it's own sound, use your computer's volume setting.Software doesn't come with bass settings, just 7.1 / 5.1 / stereo"
"]After much complaining Corsair sent me another headset the wireless 2100, sadly even with the latest drivers, (2.0.26 as of this writing) they are still ridiculously loud, they even produce sound at 0% volume. These guys don't know how to make drivers at all."
"Lowest setting is still pretty loud."
"Cable is awesome, mic is awesome, sound quality is a bit flat with default drivers but when you download corsair drivers you can tweak that and can and will get super loud if need be."
"Including paying for Adobe Audacity to be able to get mic loud enough and eliminate the static after boosting mic louder.I like the sound, the 7.1 is good, and they feel nice."
"Can't even hear anything it's all drowned out.Mic is clear, but is NOT loud enough.Overall: I'm cheap and this is the best pair I've found wireless in the price range."
"Great headset only problem is that they are really loud"

Voice:

"Since the day I bought it I had problems, robot voice, cuts out, can't use while charging, makes this weird buzzy thingy randomly (can't think of what to call it)."
"I had a problem with a robotic voice when I spoke on skype but that was an easy fix, I just had to change the settings of the voice quality. The comfort of these headsets are top notch, the soft ear-cups are awesome the first time I put these one it was sex for my earsThe headband does not have the same issue as logitech g430 where it causes a sharp pain after 20 mins of useVolume and muting is easy access. So far I love this mic and I will give a 1 month update, to see if it is 5 star quality."
"The voice quality is horrible."
"SCREAMING BEE APPLICATIONS AND MANY VOICE CHANGERS HATE THIS HEADSET..."
"Voices in movies echoed and were hard to comprehend no matter how I adjusted it."
"Overall to me these are on par with the logitech G930s with the G930s slightly better for comfort and features (like voice changer)."
"The mic is very sturdy and picks up your voice well as it is approx 2/3" from your mouth or it was on me, it is very comfortable to wear on my head, and adjusts well to accomadate this, and the big plus is the wireless which means i can keep in with team chats i.e teamspeak etc, whilst grabbin a cidee from the fridge etc."
"But they didn't work for me - not for the price, and what they are built to be - a gaming headset capable of providing excellent voice communications and superior sound.1.)"

Windows:

"even after working with Corsair "support" several time they still never fixed the issue.I bought this headset for my girlfriend last christmas, they still have not worked since I purchased them.Save your money and get any other brand! As a long time Corsair fan, I was deeply disapointed with this headset. It's a driver issue with Windows 8.1 and they never resolved it.Here is an example of how loud they are.[..."
"Problem with this device, and ALL usb audio devices is windows 7. windows is great when you plug headphones into the headphone jack, but this counts as a second audio device, switching the default audio device when you want to use these is annoying moreso because of windows 7's horrible application for switching audio devices, the fact that it's "always on top" and that you have to cycle the power on these phones when you switch it."
"This is an important step, as it turns out, so don't just simply plug the headphones and play (worked fine with USB 2.0, by the way). The Corsair website also has informational tabs on these headphones, which includes tabs on "learn" (blog page), "downloads" (currently there's a beta download, Version 2.0.19, which addresses a problem in Windows 8.1), and a "FAQs and support" tab.You might also Google "corsair vengeance 1500 equalizer profiles" and you'll find it."
"Once again, it could have been an issue on my hardware's part with windows 7 64 bit, but this has been a frustrating experience nonetheless."
"Corsair headsets, including the Vengeance 2100, do not yet support Windows 8.1.If you have Windows 8.1, you will not be able to use the surround sound options on this headset."
"Great quality sound and easy compatibility with windows."
"This headset was probably great prior to windows 8."
"Was great while I had a windows computer, but once I got a macbook, it just dropped too often."
"I downloaded the latest drivers and adjusted various settings in the windows config, which helped, but did not eliminate the problem."

Button:

"They look nice too, being a simple black design.Initially I was a bit disappointed to not see a mic mute button on the headset, but immediately discovered that flipping the mic boom up does trigger a mute switch."
"Only downside is there is no mute button."
"With these it never seems to fail that you're plugging it in the wrong way.2) The on/off button doesn't make a noise when you use it."
"That is my only real complaint right now.Wouldn't mind having a configurable button on the headset to be able to utilize push-to-talk features in some voice clients. No case badge or sticker like you get with memory or power supply purchases."
"In fact the only thing these headphones are missing is a button on the side for Ventrillo and are otherwise perfect."
"If I could have the sound quality and extra buttons of the Logitech but on a headset built like this, it would be pretty much perfect."
"The power button and volume are a good size and easy to use while worn."

"I especially liked hearing bass tones which don't get reproduced well with earbuds.- LED lights are intuitive: purple means they have power, blue means they're connected, flashing red/blue means mute.- The volume control buttons are big and easy to find (thanks to the LED lights) and use- The long cord make these very useable with gaming computersThere is nothing that I didn't like about these headphones."
"Excellent ergonomics - buttons are logically placed and easy to operateThe only gripes that I have:1."

Setting:

"The headset is very comfortable but it has many problems, when I first bought the headset I had some trouble setting it up as it would not connect to the included USB dongle."
"Checked settings, nothing was wrong."
"Sounds good, once you fiddle with your volume settings excessively..."
"I guess I could get used to it, but I won't get the chance; I went back to my old headset pretty much as soon as I found out there is no (reliable) combination of drivers and/or settings that will fix it."
"The sound quality is pretty good but since I couldn't install the software I wasn't able to adjust any sound settings even in stereo mode because this headset has its own USB sound driver bypassing the PC's sound card."
"Lowest setting is still pretty loud."
"A little more complex of a process to get ready to use: plug headset cord into the headset and charge for 4 hours while a little orange light blinks, until you see a green light, then download the software from the website and install, then connect the wireless usb to the machine and do this dance with the power button on the side of these until you see a blue light in a specific pattern, then right click on your speaker icon on your task bar, select properties and choose the Corsair Vengeance as your default audio device, THEN go into the equalizer in the software download and play with the settings and the 7.1 vs. 5.1 until you know what sounds best with Blu-ray, DVD, etc."
"As soon as you close the Line and Microphone sound, it works well. But, the headphone will occasionally restart itself and all settings go default, EVEN WHEN I AM PLAYING GAMES!"
"Sounds good, once you fiddle with your volume settings excessively..."

Computer:

"if you plug them into an ac source while on, they emit a terrible sound via the mic, and if you plug them into the computer while on, they don't charge fast enough not to die."
"As the website says, this headset is in no way meant to be the best in the market, it's supposed to be the best for it's price range, and it is.Sadly, upon connecting to my computer, I discovered a slightly disconcerting problem."
"Cuts out after only 20 or so feet.Works perfect for sitting at your computer."
"Not so much a problem though as I am pretty much glued to the computer if I'm using them."
"Was great while I had a windows computer, but once I got a macbook, it just dropped too often."
"It's a great headset, I can br pretty far from the computer and listen to music, movies, YouTube, games, etc."
"I would recommend these, not for use from inside to outside the house but if your kitchen lets say in within eye shot of the computer and you are up getting something or whatever, you should have no problems communicating."

Listening:

"This is my first wireless headset so maybe the audio quality is just an issue with wireless headsets in general...I'm not sure. This would be a good headset for playing MMO's or listening to videos but it is definitely not a FPS friendly headset."
"There is slight distortion with my other pair that I did not notice until I compared with the Corsairs.Music listening is not the best for these and the music comes across as too shallow with no real depth."
"So it nice to see that my initial impression of the 1500s is that they offer the best combination of sound quality and durability I've found so far in a sub-$100 headset.Sound: I wouldn't call the sound quality audiophile, but for gaming and non-critical music listening they are just fine; I did not notice any glaring weaknesses in the sound.Build: The 1500s are built *much* more solidly than the past few headsets I've owned; the headphones feel like a higher end set of Sennheisers I own, and the microphone doesn't feel like it is going to break off if you look at it funny."
"Compared to a dedicated audio headphone its pretty crap... Actually I bought it by mistake I should have bought the analog version then it might have been decent with my soundblaster z. I have this at work and it does the job fine for listening to some tunes while I work."
"This headset is great for gaming and listening to music."
"For listening to music I thoroughly enjoy it but for gaming and being in Teamspeak 3 I dislike it."
"the driver software with the different presets is also great when playing battlefield or listening to hard style to symphony."
"Listening to music is very nice; however, the volume levels are incredibly high."
