Quotes from the Reviews - What People Say about:

Quality

Quality:
"The Allen & Heath headphones are really nice though but the build quality is not so good, are headphones that are not build to last, also they have a lack of low end the the HD 8 dj have in a perfect amount, the allen & heath are also very bulky and big, the big problem with this is that when you use them for 2 hours o something you start to feel pain in your ears, if you have big ears just forget that headphones."
_
"By far the most impressive build quality for headphones i have ever seen."
_
"They have impressive quality and really good detail."
_
"Very good build quality, almost had them for a year and they still look like new."
_
"This is a great closed back high quality pair of headphones that seem very durable as well as being comfortable."
_
"Pros: build quality, sound quality, nice carrying case, sounds amazing with a amp DAC, strong base, nice design, sound-proofingCons: can give you headaches on account of tightness around the ears if you don't adjust the cups often, same deal with the band on the top of the headOther thoughts: all the base in these headphones is gone when wearing with glasses, I have to wear mine so they rest atop the ear cupsOverall, I love them and use them countless hours everyday between after classes"

Sound

Sound:
"( I would say Beats By Dre but cmon we all know those things are a joke lol) Now if you are looking for more accuracy I would point you towards the DT770's, but I am not saying these are not accurate at all, the DT700's are the most natural sounding headphones that I let me put that clearly that I have used ( not the most accurate in the world) See the HD8's are obviously made for well DJ's and I am no DJ but I can tell what they mean by that."
_
"However I am one of those people who tend to play music rather loud and i felt that even at max volume on my phone, I felt almost disappointed with the sound signature."
_
"The headphones don't sound very impressive out of the box."
_
"They definitely compliment the bass for sure but do so I would say in a correct manner, bass sounds like it should be but these are also Great for I think everything else."
_
"They sound good in almost all types of music too, I wasn't a fan of their sound signature in rock and roll, but just about everything else I listened to sounded superb."
_
"When I first listened to them, I thought they sounded worse than what I was replacing; however, they sound excellent now with very punchy bass, yet still clear, crisp highs."
_
