New MacBook with Retina Display by alexey ,  Oct 4, 2012
SAN FRANCISCO – Apple today introduced a host of new features with iOS6, the latest upgrade to its mobile operating system for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. It also unveiled a new high-end laptop Monday that marries the sharpness of an iPad with the thinness of a MacBook Air.

"It's the most beautiful computer we've ever made," said Apple Senior Vice President Phil Schiller.

The new MacBook Pro starts at $2,199, is 0.71 inches thin, and has a 15.4-inch screen. It sports the same super-sharp visual technology, known as Retina display, that Apple features on the iPhone and iPad. The computer — aimed at photographers, videographers and video editors— includes updates to its Aperture photo-editing software and the Final Cut Pro X video-editing software.

We wanted this MacBook Pro to have a screen as vivid as your imagination. A screen where everything you see is remarkably vibrant, detailed, and sharp. What we created was the world’s highest-resolution notebook display — and our most jaw-dropping Retina display yet.
